Invisalign
We are proud to offer our patients the Invisalign© orthodontics system, a clear alternative to braces. The system uses a series of clear plastic aligners, instead of metal wires and brackets, to gradually move the teeth into alignment.
Porcelain Veneers
We can use porcelain veneers to conceal a variety of dental imperfections, from chips and cracks, to stains and slight misalignments. These ultra thin shells of porcelain are bonded to the front surface of a tooth and look extremely natural.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are a great way to replace one or more missing teeth. Not only do they look and feel like your natural tooth, but they are also a long-lasting solution. To learn more about dental implants, see our Implant Dentistry page
Dental Crowns
When a tooth becomes broken, worn down, or discolored, a dental crown can restore its appearance. Dental crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth, protecting it from further damage. To place a dental crown we will first examine the existing tooth and remove any decay, and then make an impression of the area. This impression will be used by our dental laboratory to craft a crown, customized to fit the prepared tooth. A temporary crown will be attached to your tooth while the new crown is being manufactured. Once the new crown is ready, we will check its fit and color against your existing teeth to ensure a natural feel and appearance. The crown is then cemented to the tooth, where it will remain in place for years with proper maintenance. In addition to the cosmetic dentistry uses for dental crowns, they can also be used to restore and protect damaged teeth.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a simple cosmetic dentistry procedure that can be performed to conceal teeth with chips, cracks or stains. We will begin the dental bonding procedure by using a shade guide to determine the precise color of your teeth. The dentist will then apply the bonding material – a color-matched composite resin – to your tooth. This resin is smoothed down and molded over the tooth. A high-intensity light is used to harden the resin, which is then shaped and polished to match the texture and contours of your natural teeth.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges can restore the smiles of those who are missing teeth. Dental bridges are composed of a replacement tooth or teeth supported by two dental crowns, which are attached to the remaining natural teeth on either side of a gap. We will first prepare each tooth adjacent to the gap and make impressions of the teeth to use in constructing the crowns. A temporary bridge is placed to protect the teeth until the permanent bridge is made. Before cementing the permanent bridge, we will check and adjust the bridge so that it fits properly and appears natural. In addition to addressing the obvious cosmetic issues associated with missing teeth, dental bridges can also help correct speech and chewing issues. While dental bridges are still a viable option, the advancement of Dental Implants has lead to their decline in popularity. See our page on Dental Implants for more information.
